Crossing Wyoming Again

A very uneventful day!  Once again, we found ourselves on a lonely, desolate road full of sage brush and an occasional oil well, and a restaurant called “Cowboy Inn.”  We ended the day watching the Colorado River begin its trip to Baja, California, by way of the Grand Canyon.

The Overland Trail went through here

"From the Platte west to Fort Bridger...is one almost uninterrupted panorama of... blank desolation..."
About the only place to eat between I-80 and I-70

We ended up in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, at the base of the mountains leading to Aspen.  After a day of tedious travel over flat land, this was a welcome oasis.
